Every name carries a mission. Onward Dawn Adventure — ODA — is a nod to Operational Detachment Alpha, the small Special Forces teams built to move light, move together, and accomplish the mission against the odds.
The Special Forces motto is De Oppresso Liber — to free the oppressed. For us, the oppressed aren't across an ocean. They're the veteran who lost his mission at separation, the first responder carrying weight nobody sees, the kid who's never been told what they're capable of, the family that's forgotten how to look up from a screen.
Dawn is the promise: no matter how long the night, first light comes. Onward is the command: we don't stay where we were. A new beginning isn't something you wait for — it's something you move toward.
That's what every retreat here is built to do. Restore joy. Deliver hope. Empower growth. Onward.
